Ballet shoes can come in either a split sole or a full sole. They will have an elastic strap that goes across the ankle. They may also have two straps that criss-cross each other. You can find ballet shoes in pink, tan, or black for men.

Hip Hop shoes can have many different looks. They are comfortable and usually lightweight. They are similar to tennis shoes and you can find them in many different colors.

Tap shoes have two metal pieces. (One on the heal and one on the toe) The metal pieces make noise when you move your feet. The shoes are either slip on or buckled. You can find them in either black or tan. (There are also ones called spectators that are black and white)

Foot paws and dance undees can be used for jazz, lyrical, and sometimes ballet. They hug the foot and have sole patches on the bottom. They protect your feet from tears, burns, and friction. You can find them in tan and black. (you may also find them in camo, pink, and leopard print)

Pedinis are flexible split sole dance shoes that have a heal about 3\4 inch high. They usually come in black and tan. They are usually worn to do jazz.
