In Captivity, Tigers don’t learn everything they need to know
for survival, but are taught along those lines. In zoos or captivity
someplace else, Tigers learn to socialize among their own. In the wild,
Tigers travel alone, this is probably due to their loneliness and
aggressiveness for not being around other animals or beings. They have a
chance to socialize and get to know their own kind and learn how to act
around other animals.

The tiger’s
natural habitat is being burned down as we speak for new businesses and
just because people are able to do it. There is a major decline in the
tiger’s population over the very recent years.
Though tigers belong in
the
wild, they might
not have a choice but to move into a space in captivity if we keep
burning down their habitats. They need an alternative. Zoos are helpful
to tigers because they have a habitat like their own and do not have to
worry if they are going to have to find a new home.

Usually tigers die from disease, fighting, or not having enough food,
but they live a lot more of a healthy life in a zoo. They live longer in
zoos and have a more fulfilled life. They are able to be taken care of
and saved from major diseases. The only way a tiger may die in captivity
is by disease or old age, so basically, natural causes. There are people
who choose to work in zoos and alongside these animals to help them stay
alive

Tigers that have been born in captivity are trying to be introduced back into the wild. China has been experimenting with this project for some time now. Tigers are easily bred in captivity, but not so much in the wild and face extinction because of hunters and careless beings that tear down their natural habitat. India was the first country to experiment with this project and it has been a big success. After a year the tiger population gained about 1,000 more tigers in India.

At the moment, there are only 200 white tigers and 30 gold tabbies left in Captivity. Now, the main role for zoos is to breed tigers. This is probably the only way to keep the tigers from going extinct. Then, after the animals are born, they are raised to act like they would in the wild. After some time, they are released into the wild. These projects are meant to keep tigers from going extinct by breeding them and somewhat raising them. Captivity plays an important role in the survival of Tigers.
