     Michael Jordan began his career during the 1984-85 season. He immediately made an impact. He averaged 28.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, 5.9 assist, and 2.39 steals per game. His quick success earned him a trip to the all star game and the 1985 rookie of the year award.

 

     By 1987 Jordan knew he could match any player offensively, but he wanted to add a new element to his game. He decided he wanted to be a great defender. During the 1987-88 season Jordan he averaged 3.16 steal, 1.9 blocks, and 8 rebounds per game. Those stats and his ability to shut down any player earned him the 19888 Defensive Player of the Year award.

 

     Many people consider Jordan the greatest player ever. During his career he won five Most Valuable Player awards. He won his MVP’s during the 1988, 1991, 1992, 1996, and 1998 seasons. During his MVP season he averaged 31 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.65 steals, and 6 assist per game. During his MVP season Jordan proved he wasn’t just a great scorer, but also a great defender and passer.

       Michael Jordan played in six NBA championships. He won the championship and finals MVP each time. In championship season he averaged 31.6 points per game. This shows when Jordan is at his best, his team is unstoppable. He is one of the best playoff players ever
 

    Have you ever wondered why they call Michael Jordan “Air Jordan?” It’s because when he jumps its like he is flying. His jumping ability made him a great jumper. When of his most memorable jumps is when he jumped from the foul line. It won his the 1988 Slam Dunk championship. He also won the 1987 Slam Dunk championship. Jordan might best be remember for his amazing dunks.
