The toe touch is the most commonly known jump. When you do the toe touch you put your arms straight out by your sides and the same with your legs. Keep your hands open palms facing flat down. Your arms need to be parallel to the ground. Bring your legs up to your arms. Not vice versa. |

The herkie is names after Lawerence Herkimer, he who started the first cheerleading company and camp In the 1940s. The herkie, also knows as the side hurdler, is a popular jump. One leg need to be kicked straight out to the side so that it is parallel to the ground. The other leg will be bent so that it is pointing down. Make fists with your hands. |

The Front Hurdler, when performed correctly, looks like a runner jumping over a hurdle. One leg is extended straight on in front of you. The other is bent at the knee and pulled up behind you. Always remember to keep your back straight. Put your arms straight out and over top of your legs. |

A pike is one of the most difficult jumps. When you jump, you bring your legs off of the ground keeping them straight. The higher you can get them, the better it looks. You then bring your arms over top of your legs. Make sure your head and back are up. Always point your toes. |
