The guppy is a common fish in community tanks. Male guppies are brightly colored and have long flowing fins. Female guppies are less colored and are bigger. Female guppies do not have long fins; their fins are shot and powerful. These fish are peaceful for the most part but sometimes they get protective when they are pregnant. Guppies are mostly herbivores but they enjoy the occasional bloodworm. When guppies have their fry they will immediately eat them. |
