Wolves are intelligent and adaptable creatures. Wolves are extremely social animals living in close knitted families or packs. A pack is leaded by an alpha male and alpha female. They are the only one who gets to mate in the group and raise offspring. Other members in the pack also help to feed the pups. Wolves can weigh anywhere from 22-175lbs. Wolves live up to 16 years in wild but rarely more than 13 in the wild. Caribous are the main diet of the wolves. Wolves have been known to kill a 2000 pound bison. Juvenile wolves start to hunt when they are about a year old. They will catch little rodents and play with it and then eat it.

. Their pure-white woolly coat turns into a brownish- whitish color in spring. Litters of 6-12 are born every year but occasionally as many as 25 pups are born. One of the siblings that survived from last year helps baby-sit the cubs, so both of the parents can go hunting. Arctic Foxes can weigh anywhere from 3-20lbs. They can live up to 16 years in captivity and 10 years in wild. |

Coyotes live up to 21 years in captivity and 15 years in the wild. Coyotes can weigh anywhere from 15.5-44 lbs. Males are slightly larger than females. Coyote’s diet includes rabbits, prairie dogs and occasionally a deer. Coyotes are hunted as pests but there population is still growing because they are adaptable. They are still hunted as a sport.
