GOLDEN HAMSTERS

The golden hamster is one of the most well known species of hamster. Goldens are about 18cm long and are the largest of all species. These animals are calmer the smaller breeds. They come in many colors, like brown grey, gold, white, etc.

DWARF HAMSTERS

These little guys live for about  3 years, tear, but are the cutest of all breeds. They are very easy to tame and are great for kids as their first pets. Because they are so small and active they require a lot of attention.

CHINESE HAMSTERS

These are the most rat like species of hamster. They have a longer tail and their bodies are much bigger than the others. Male Chinese Hamsters are larger than the females. Most people do not like them because they do not want a pet rat.

TEDDY BEAR HAMSTERS

Longhaired hamsters are also call teddy bear hamsters! The males usually have a gorgeous coat rather than the females. The coat may take a few months to grow in, but when it does its sure worth the wait!

COMMON HAMSTER

Definitely not the most popular hamster mostly because it is very, very aggressive. As most hamsters are it is very good looking. Note that this breed must live all by themselves, only because they might harm the other hamsters.

MINK HAMSTERS

These hamsters have a very short yet plush coat called a rex. Having a rex means that they will have crinkled whiskers. These are a very rare species to come across.
