Drag racing is all about acceleration between two cars going down a straight strip of asphalt. Some tracks are ¼ mile, 1/8 mile, and ½ mile. These races are started by something called a Christmas Tree because of the multi-colored lights that start the race. Sometimes these races are measured in time and sometimes they are measured in highest speed. Usually it’s the first one across the finish line, but sometimes it’s scored by speed instead. |
