No other place in the country can come close to being New York City’s culinary equal.  In the past a hot dog was a dollar and a pretzel was 50 cents. Amazing, right!  But now there aren’t as much street carts and little town food shops, but more there are high ranking and fine dining restaurants.  You can find Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese, Finland, Norwegian, and Ethiopian and so much more.  Also seafood is a big deal in New York City.

Broadway was more alive in 1997 than before that.  Broadway is a term for a large-scale theater that opens in New York City.  Now, since 1929, most theaters are occupied by movies and most plays don’t open on Broadway.  The Broadway theater you see in the picture is the Miss Saigon showing the famous American Dream.  Another famous, and traditional theater is the Majestic.

Right now you see a parade, the Macy’s Thanks Giving Day Parade.  People and visitors of New York City can enjoy other parades like the St. Patrick’s Day parade, the July 4^th Parade, Christmas Day Parade and so much more.  Other than parades, the streets of New York City can hold street fairs like the ones where you walk outside and people try to sell you old clothes and jewelry and other things.  They also might include some young, striving businesses and restaurants.  Go to the street fairs and support them, enjoy what the streets of New York City has to offer.

Big night on the town?  New York city is also known as the city that never sleeps, so why not spend it at one of New York’s City’s many fabulous night clubs.  There are 4 kinds in the city: comedy, dance, music, and poetry clubs.  There is every type of club in one city.  One is called the Limelight and there is also a Hard Rock Café in New York City.

There are so many museums in New York City.  Some are for history, others display political stuff, and the rest is art.  The National Museum of the American Indian is for history as is the American Museum of Natural History.  The Museum of American Folk Art and the Whitney Museum of American Art are obviously art museums.  And one just for fun is the Museum of the city of New York which has a stunning collection of theatrical costumes.  There is also the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum; this is the only design museum in the United States.  The Guggenheim is also a displayer of art and was built by possibly America’s greatest architect ever, Frank Lloyd Wright.  Those are only a few of the many amazing museums in New York City.

Shopping, there is tons of it to do.  In New York City they have all the best stores like Macy’s, Ann Taylor, Talbots, Cold Water Creek, Banana Republic, Lord and Taylor and more.  The malls also have lots of the latest trend for teens stores like Hollister, Abercrombie and Fitch, American Eagle.  Aside from clothes shopping, there are great hotels to stay at.  New York City is a great place for many things and this is one of them.
