Welcome To the Land Of Dreams. For over the past years Disney World and Disney Land are the Highest Populated parks in the US. In 1971 the first ever Disney Land park opened. It was the highest populated park in California. Walt finally decided to open another park in Orlando, Florida so people on the east side didn’t have to drive for a long time! They found a piece of land, it looked like a swamp. They cleaned it up and it became Disney World. Another name for it is the Magic Kingdom. One out of four Disney World Parks. Before they opened the park they made a Castle Suite for Walt. Walt died before the park opened.

The park became a hit. They started to add more after the Magic Kingdom. There Is Epcot. Epcot is seeing what our future could be like. It opened in October of 1982. Everyone wasn’t pleased “They Expected Rides, Not shows about science.” said a Disney Engineer. “We interviewed some visitors and they told us that if we made rides we would come back.” “That really turned our heads around”.

Disney-MGM Studios. 1989 it opened, MGM is a park where you can see Disney Shows, and Rides. “We really did a great job” said engineer Bob Brown. We worked so hard on this and it paid off. “The hardest thing we had to build was in the Voyage of The Little Mermaid we had to design Ursula an Automatronic character it took us almost 9 months just to make her, test her out, and then paint her. The last and hardest part was to see the people’s reactions when they see this character.

In 2002 Disney opened one last park. Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It became the last Disney World Park to be made. Inside the park you may enter a world of dinosaurs, A world of Pixars Nemo and friends, and last you will enter Africa.
