This is a picture is in Hollywood. Hollywood is one for Los Angeles’ neighboring cities. This is Hollywood’s sunset strip street. It is one of the most famous streets in the entire country.

The picture on the left is of a walkway outside of Mann’s Chinese Theatre. Mann’s Chinese Theatre is also in Hollywood. The handprints and footprints of many movie stars are at the entrance of the theatre. Many Hollywood actors and actresses hope to have their handprints, footprints and signatures on the walkway as a symbol of their stardom.

Century City is typical of the modern city of Los Angeles. It is an important business center with many law firms and executives. It is 176 acres. Some of the most recognized Century City buildings are 20^th Century Fox headquarters, Century Plaza Hotel and Century Plaza Towers.

These are the plants and animals found at the La Brea Tar Pits that are on display at the Exposition Park in Los Angeles. The La Brea Tar Pits have been called a prehistoric menagerie because the bones of the imperial elephant, the largest of all land mammals, the ground sloths, and the saber-toothed tiger were all found there.

This is the Rose Garden in Exposition Park at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. The university was founded in 1880 under Methodist leadership and has become widely recognized.

The California Institute of Technology is also a very popular college and widely renowned. Because of its excellence, it is the goal of young scientists from all over the world.

The Lakers are Los Angeles' pro basketball team. Their home games are played at Staples Center in Los Angeles. The Lakers were founded in 1946 in Detroit. The team then moved to Minneapolis in 1947-1960. In 1960 the Lakers moved to Los Angeles. Their team colors are purple, gold and white. The current head coach of the Lakers is Phil Jackson. The Lakers have has 28 Conference titles and 26 Division titles.

Los Angeles is also the name of the hometown of some famous people. Duke Snider is one of the them. He was a baseball player for the Brooklyn Dodgers when the team moved to Los Angeles which happened to also be his hometown. He is now in the hall of fame for his career in baseball.

Another neighboring city to Los Angeles city Anaheim. Anaheim’s biggest attraction is Disneyland. It is a favorite vacation spot for people of all ages. It is an 80 acre park that is divided into 7 main sections such as Main Street USA, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, Adventureland, Frontierland, New Orleans Square, and Critter Country.

This is Los Angeles from the Pasadena freeway. Los Angeles is one of California’s largest cities. In the early 1980s Los Angeles was rapidly becoming a “high tech” center and was used for international trade as well. In 1984 Los Angeles hosted the International Olympic Games for the second time.
