Pete Lewis Kingston Wentz III was born on June 5, 1979. He is the bassist, back up vocalist, and primary lyrist in the band Fall Out Boy. He was born in Wilmette, Illinois. He went to New Tier High school and North Shore Country Day school. There he was an All State Soccer player. After graduating high school he went to DePaul University where he studied political science but dropped out right before graduation to concentrate on music.

While growing up Pete was seen as more of an athlete then and artist. He was an All State Soccer player. But Pete was mostly involved in Chicago’s hard core punk scene. Pete one told Rolling Stone Magazine that his first musical memory was sitting in the back of his dad’s car listening to The Foundations “Build me up butter cup”. And we are glad he did. He was in many bands in the 90s.  Including First Born, Arma Angelus, Yellow Road Priest, and Racetraitor. Pete and Arma Angelus’ bassist Joe Trohman founded the punk rock band Fall Out boy.

 When Pete is not working with his band he is hanging at his home in Los Angeles, California. He hangs with his girlfriend, Ashlee Simpson or Pete is hanging with his loved English pug dog Hemmingway. At home Pete is either eating sprinkles cupcakes or he is drinking his favorite drink, a Starbucks Carmel Macchiato. He says he only drinks on sip but he loves

them! When he is not working he is on his computer talking to friends. He talked to his friends on his Mac book computer almost all day. He says ninety percent of the day.

Pete Wentz also has his own clothing line Clandestine Industries. It is a punky high fashion line that he designed himself. The company distributes books, clothing, and other merchandise. On August 2, 2007 the fashion company DKNY joined in partnership with Clandestine Industries. The line first premiered at New York’s spring fashion show 2007. There Pete served as his own model. He is also the model on the promo website. One of Wentz tattoos, the bartskull, is the symbol for the clothing line.

Pete is evolved in a lot in his life. Like his band, clothing line and on top of all that he is writing a book. He is currently co-writing a book with William Beckett of The Academy Is… he has already written a book called The Boy With a Thorn in His Side. The book is a story based on the nightmares he had as a kid. The title of the book is a reference to the Smith’s album the Queen is Dead.

On top of all the other things in Pete’s life he owns his own imprint of Fueled by Ramen and Decaydance records. He has signed several bands including

Panic! At the disco, Sweet Blood Stacy. He has also signed the known bands Cobra Starship and Gym Class Heros. He has also signed the less known bands Buzznet, October Fall, Lifetime, and the Cab. Wentz Bartskull tattoo the one from his clothing line in also the symbol for Decaydance records. Pete also has his own film production company called Bartskull films. Which put out the DVD “Release The Bats” which stares Pete and his band mates and several of his personal friends. A sequel to the film is in the works.

In April 2007 Pete came out with his own signature bass. It was called Squier Precision Bass. It has a black body with a red skull pick guard. The bass also has special graphics. Including Wentz’s own red bat/heart design on the body of the bass. It also has a black bat/ diamond fingerboard inlay at the 12^th fret. The squier precision bass also has Wentz’s signature on the back of the head stock.

Pete Wentz has also opened a night club in New York. He opened it with his band mates and members of Gym Class Heros, The Academy is…., and Cobra Starship. The bands managers are also involved in the club. The night club is called Angels & Kings. The club is at the same location that housed the Orchid lounge. Pete and his now girlfriend ,Ashlee Simpson, meet at a photo shoot for the club and they were labeled as a couple. At first they denied it but then they became a couple and Pete saying that she is the only one who understands him.
