Fenway Park is where the Boston Red Sox play.  It is known for the “Green Monster” which is 37 feet high.  To reward the fans they put seats on the “Green Monster” a couple of years ago.  There are 36,298 seats in Fenway Park.  The dimensions are 310 feet to the left field corner, 420 feet to center field, and 302 feet to the right field corner.

 

  The curse of the bambino was a curse for bad decision making.  In 1919 the owner of the Red Sox traded Babe Ruth for $100,000.  They didn’t win another championship for 85 years.  They got to game seven of the World Series several times before winning in 2004.
 
  Roger Clemens pitched for the Red Sox from 1984 to 1996.  He won the American League MVP in 1986 and the Cy Young in 1986, 1987, and 1991 with the Red Sox.  He was one of the best pitchers in baseball while with the Red Sox.  People later despised him after he went to play for the New York Yankees.
 

Nomar Garciaparra was a shortstop for the Boston Red Sox from 1997 to 2004.  He was one of the most beloved Red Sox.  He is married to Mia Hamm.  He won the American League Rookie of the Year in 1997.  He currently play for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

 

 
  Carlton Fisk was the catcher for the Boston Red Sox from 1967 to 1980.  He was the American League Rookie of the Year in 1967.  He is most remembered for his home run in the twelfth inning of game six of the 1975 World Series, as shown below.
 
 
 

Ted Williams was an outfielder for the Boston Red Sox from 1939 to 1942 and 1946 to 1960.  He won six batting championships in his career.  He won the MVP in 1946 and 1949.  He was the last player to bat .400 in a season in 1941.
