Thigh stands:

Thigh stands are the simplest stunt. The flyer stands on two bases thighs. For this stunt you do not need a font spot. A back spot is not necessary but is a big help in these stunts. The bases are in a longe facing each other. They MUST have good balance to make sure that the flyer does not wobbly or fall down the stunt.

Different stunts:

Shoulder sits maybe a type of stunt. Some people think they are and others think they are not. That is when with help from a back spot and a front spot, the base goes into a lunge and the flyer puts one foot on the leg that is up. Then on the counts the flyer will “stand up” on the base’s leg and swing her other leg over their shoulder. That way the flyer is sitting on the base’s shoulder. To get off the flyer will lean a little bit forward and grab the front spotter’s hand, the back spot will count it down. Then the base will through the flyer overtop or their head to that the flyer lands feet first in front if the base. Some stunts look like they are in a pyramid, but they aren’t. the flyers and lifted at different levels, but it is not a pyramid because they are not connected.

Pyramids:

Pyramids are my favorite stunt. That is when there are many stunts that connect and are at different levels. Some pyramids have the end flyers sticking there inner legs to the middle flyer, or they connect their arms. Pyramids are very fun to do, and fun to look at.

Basket tosses:

Basket tosses are fun, too. They are when all of the spotters and bases make a cradle and through the flyer up into the air. When the flyer is up there she might do a flip are a toe touch. When she comes down she will be caught in the cradle make by the bases and spotters that threw her.

Other kinds of stunts:

There are many kids of stunts. Some stunts have many different things that you could do in them! You could do you a slip in a stunt (shown on left). Or you could do an extension stunts. That is when the flyer is lifted above the bases heads.
