The Doberman was recognized by the AKC. It’s country of origin was Germany. Its life expectancy is 12-14 years of age. The height range of the Doberman is 25-27 inches. The weight range is 66-88 lbs. It’s a medium to large sized dog. The colors the breed comes in is fawn, blue, brown, or black with rust markings. The Doberman is good with older behaved children. With other animals, the Doberman gets along with them but tends to be bossy.

The Doberman tolerates heat very well, and it doesn’t need to be groomed often at all. The Doberman’s best qualities are being energetic, determinated, alert, fearless, extremely loyal, and very obedient!

The dog will protect its master by any means, though. It practically sleeps with one eye opened as long as there is a stranger in the house.
