Example of front and back tuck. |

Tumbling is very fun. It has backhand-springs, back tucks, a full, a double full, a triple full, front flips, back flips, back layouts, and front hand-springs, are a lot of the harder tumbling tricks. Tumbling even has easier things to do like round offs, cartwheels, handstands, a front walk over and more!! The way you usually learn these tricks is by learning them on the trampoline first. The trampoline gives you great spring and if you get high enough you get go right into your back tuck. If you can’t do a trick you can always get a spotter. Their main job is to help keep you up from falling on your head and to help you flip over. Eventually after doing it on your own for a while you can learn to do it on your own.

The back hand-spring is usually the first harder trick you will learn. A back hand-spring is when you spring up, throw yourself back, put your hands on the floor, bring your legs over and land standing up with your legs together. One of the reasons a hand stand is so important is because it is in a back hand-spring and a front hand spring.

| A back tuck is quite difficult. You have to spring high enough to be able to tuck your knees in and flip over. A combination you can do is a round off backhand-spring back tuck. That is very hard to do though. You need speed and great spring. When you can do that you know you are really good. The next step higher than the back tuck is a full. A full is when you when you spin once in the air but you are up- side down. |
