Swimming is another popular sport in the world. Swimming compactions where held in 36 B.C. Today swimming is competed at all levels. The fastest and strongest swimmers compete in a race against one and other at the Olympics. The pool is 164 ft. long and divided into eight lanes. There are a lot of ways to swim like, freestyle, butterfly, backstroke, or breaststroke. |

Golf was invented form a shepherd in Scotland. He hit a stone what a hocked stick called crook. One day he hit a stone into a rabbit hole and got the idea of golf. The ideal of the game is to hit from the tee to the hole. There are either nine holes or 18 holes played in a round of golf.

Knights returned to France from the Middle East 800 years ago with a game using a ball. The Europeans used this game a lot and they played it inside. To hit the ball to the other side they used there hand. Then they used a glove then a paddle to hit the ball over the net to the other side. They eventually used racket to hit the ball. Today tennis is played on a tennis court made of clay. The object of the game is to hit to the other side and make the ball go inside of the lines on the court and hard enough so that the other player misses the ball.

Track is a running sport where you race. There is a rave for sprinting, middle distance, distance, relay, hurdle, and walking. Players run in lanes around a circle usually at a football field. The lanes are made of a rubber material.
