Jeff Gordon Jeffery Michael Gordon was 5 years old when he wanted to be a racer and his step dad supported this idea so he moved his family from California to Indiana a place with more racing opportunities. Before Gordon was 18 he was discovered by a scout after winning the title of USAC Midget car racing. When Gordon was 20 he set the record for winning 11 poles in one season. Gordon ‘s first win was at Lowe’s Motor speed way in front of his hometown. |

Mark Martin Mark Martin, Mark Anthony Martin 47 at the time retired full time from NASCAR in 2006 but still races most of the races in the Nextel cup. When martin raced full time he was called Mr. Consistency because he would finish in the top 5 every year in points, in standings over all. Martin had met his career team owner in 1987 at a race he won in Arkansas he stayed with him until 2006 when he retired. Today Martin still races for the Nextel cup for the team of Army |

Ryan NewmanRyan Joseph Newman, Ryan New man is one of the only NASCAR Drivers with a college degree graduating in 2001 with a degree of vehicle structure engineering. Newman Races Nextel cup and Busch series both almost full time. Ryan like many other NASCAR racers wanted too be a drivers since he was a little kid. When Newman started the Busch series he started it with out hat he was named rookie of the year in 2002.he finished 6 consecutive races with a win. He now races full time in the Nextel cup series.

Tony Stewart
Anthony Wayne Stewart, Tony Stewart grew up racing go-karts and was very successful he won the world go-karting championship. Then he won the USAC like many other driver’s in NASCAR. Stewart made his first Busch series appearance but struggled to get into the top 10 his first few races his best finish was 16th. He was a little better in truck racing were in his first season he finished 10th. Tony got his first win with a new crew chief Joe Gibbs who had a good success training other drivers. Stewart impressed his new crew chief and he finally moved him up into the Nextel cup. In his first Nextel cup race he did not finish because of engine failure. After his first season in the cup Stewart did not start out the season to well he was in a crash were his car violently flipped over several times although Stewart was a little shaken up he walked away from the accident with only a bruised wrist. Stewart finally won his first Nextel cup win in 2004 and still races full time today.
