There is a monument in the center of Bester Plaza. It is in the center of a fountain and has four sides. Each side represents the four parts of Chautauqua one side is art representing the colors and architecture of the houses and buildings in Chautauqua. The next side is music representing the music and sounds in Chautauqua. Another side is knowledge for the many schools in Chautauqua. The last side is religion representing the many different religions in Chautauqua. |
| The biggest building in Bester Plaza is the St. Elmos Hotel. There was a movie based off of it made a while ago. Inside the St. Elmos hotel has an expensive restaurant . It has a cookie shop. It also has an expensive spa. It even has an over- priced gift shop. The St. Elmos is one of the most important buildings in Chautauqua. |

The bookstore is one of the most popular places in Chautauqua. By its name you might think it mostly has books, but it has a lot more. It has an authentic intruments, jars, sculptures, and other things, which cost a lot. It also has a cheap toy section, a school supply section, and a very expensive Chautauqua merchendice section. |
| Unlike Pittsburgh, Chautauqua has a mailroom, it has little boxes with a lock built into it, there is a number on each box and every house and hotel room in the institute has one. along with the mailroom there is also a post office. Chautauqua is very different from other places. |

The Refrectory is a restaurant. It has very good food. They make good wraps, subs, salads, sandwiches, and snacks. |

The Smith Memorial Library is located on Miller Avenue. It is a huge library. It is two floors high. It has roughly 6,000 books. It was built in 1931. |
