Horses and ponies are beautiful and graceful animals. They are used for used for riding, racing, and show. Horses and ponies make some people feel special. Like some horses or ponies who help children with disabilities. Horses or ponies who do this have to be calm, loving, and easy to ride. horses used to do things that are now done by machines. Like, plowing fields, herd cattle, and deliver mail. There are over 500 different types of  breeds in the world. The Greeks were the first ones to tame horses. At first people killed horses for food, but once they realized they that horses could go where chariots couldn't, they started training them.
