Yellowstone National Park

Landmarks in Yellowstone are so beautiful. It has so many geysers, canyons and waterfalls. The cliffs and canyons have been eroded by wind and water. The geyser’s are very hot … they are powered by underwater springs.

One of the most famous geyser’s is called “Old Faithful.” It can shoot up really high. There are many geysers in Yellowstone, but this is the most famous. Some geysers just bubble... some don’t do anything they just sit there and steam.

There are many waterfalls in Yellowstone. They are very pretty. Most, not all, but most have rainbows at the bottom of them. There are also many lakes and streams in Yellowstone. The waterfalls usually lead into a lake, or a river. They have hot springs there that a human can go in; it’s like a natural hot tub!
The mountains there are gorgeous. They are regular mountains then on the top it is all snow. On the snowy mountains live the snow leopards and the rams. There are mountains on each side of Yellowstone. One mountain is called the Absaroka Mountain Range, it provides a barrier for the eastern side of the park.

There are many fields in Yellowstone. Also many forests. There are many animals that live in the forests, and in the fields. There is one special spring called the Minerva Spring, it is always a work in progress. These fountains can lay many feet of new rocks. The terraces at Mammoth have changed considerably since the discovery of the park.
