There are many animals in Yellowstone; two common animals are the buffalo and the gopher. The buffalo is a huge mammal, it has horns and it’s very hairy! The gopher is a little animal that has like a light brown fur and it lives in holes in the ground. |

Wolves and Coyotes are very popular here. When you are on the road you can see coyotes on the side of the road while you are driving. At night you can sometimes hear the wolf howl. Also in the morning you can see coyotes hoping on the side of the road to catch a mouse or a groundhog. | |

In the rivers and lakes there are many kinds of fish. There are many Blue gill and rainbow trout, also salmon. If there’s fish there has to be bird to eat the fish. There are many bald eagles and also many hawks. Another animal you see a lot is a heron. Birds are very popular in Yellowstone, because they are all protected. |

Be careful, many bears run wild in Yellowstone. Black bears and grizzly bears are the most popular. They are very dangerous. I wouldn’t go near them if I were you, unless you wanted to get eaten! |

| Elk and deer and antelope run wild in the field of Yellowstone. Elk and deer have young and they lay by the swamps and they eat grass and protect there young. The antelope jump with arched backs and they protect there young too. They teach there young how to run away from danger and also how to jump like them! |
