Joe Greene was born on September 24,1946. He attended North Texas State and played for them for four years. In 1969 the Steelers used their fourth overall pick on "MEAN" Joe Greene. Green won defensive rookie of the year. Joe Greene won four Super Bowls with the Steelers, went to 10 Pro-Bowls, and was a four-time defensive player of the the year. He was also the leader of the Steelers famous "Steel Curtain". |

He went on to play for the Oakland Raiders, San Francisco 49ners, and the Baltimore Ravens. Rod Woodson holds the record for most interception yards, and most interception touchdowns. |

Stewart 10# QB, WR, Punter, RB In 1995 the Steelers used the 60th overall pick to select a Quarterback out of Colorado, named Kordell Stewart. Stewart donned the nickname "Slash", because of his versatility as a player, he played Wide Receiver, Running Back, Punter, and Quarterback. Stewart led the Steelers to three AFC Championships (1994, 1998, 2001), all where played in Pittsburgh, but the Steelers couldn't win one. Statistically Kordell is one of the the best QB's in Steelers history, but couldn't win the big game. He played seven years with the Steelers. |

36# RB Bettis was drafted in 1993, tenth overall, by the Las Angeles Rams. In 1996 Bettis was traded to Pittsburgh. Bettis won team MVP five times, was offensive Rookie of the Year, 1996 Comeback Player of the Year, and 2001 Man of the Year. Bettis was a six-tie Pro-Bowler, and the NFL's fifth all-time leading rusher. Bettis was the heart and soul of the 2005 Steelers championship team. Bettis retired after the Steelers won Super-Bowl XL. |
