  EQUIPMENT

Equipment consists of bindings, boots and and the board itself. Bindings are the things that you strap your feet into to ensure that it won't fall off. The boots are the specially made shoes that strap or click into the bindings. The bindings should hold the boots tightly to the board. Depending on what you like to do your board should be stiff or flexible. You want a flexible board if your going to do tricks and jump. The board should be stiff if you plan to be racing.

Some great resorts and parks are listed below. Snowbird is a popular snowboard resort because of its awesome terrain parks. Vail is a great resort for freestyle cliffs and bowls. North Star is an amazing resort known for its awesome super-pipes. Boreal is another great park because its open 24/7. Alpine Meadows is another sweet resort because of it's massive jumps. Banff, Canada is another great resort except for the fact it's so far away. Lake Tahoe is an amazing resort that I've been to and it's located in Utah.

Here are a few west coast snowboard resorts. Seven Springs is a great resort because of it super pipes and reasonable lodging restaurants. Wisp is another great resort that can help you learn how to grind because of it's mediocre rails. Hidden Valley is a resort that has been bought by some new owners and that could mean a new resort. Squaw Valley is a snowboard resort known for a lot of powder.

My favorite trick is called a flare. A flare is a back-flip 180. A few other tricks that are not as hard are listed below. The method is a trick in which your hand is together on the board grabbing between your feet. The Indy is a trick in which you grab the front of the board and hold it out-front. One of the hardest tricks is the front-flip because of the momentum pulling you back. The nose grab is a trick in which you grab the front of the board in mid-air. The melon grab is when you grab both ends of the board at the same time in the air.

Getting sponsored is a goal of many snowboarders today because it is very pricey to try buy all the best stuff for yourself. You have to be confident in yourself, have a lot of patience and have a lot of skill. Once you get sponsored the company will usually get a ton of free stuff and money from them because your representing them by using their stuff. You will usually get more and more sponsors as you get better and better.
