The Cincinnati Bengal's defense is very
talented but is not one of the best skilled defenses in the NFL. The
Bengal's stop the run well and the Bengal's also stop the ball in the
air even better. The Bengal's also have cornerback number 24 Deltha
O'neal who is exceptionally good at cornerback. The Bengal's defense is
only as good as its defensive coordinator.
The
defensive coordinator for the Cincinnati Bengal's is Chuck Bresnahan.
Chuck Bresnahan was born Sept. 8, 1960, and his hometown is Springfield,
Mass. Chuck Bresnahan is in his third season on the Cincinnati Bengals
coaching staff.
Chuck is also in
his second year as the team’s defensive coordinator. Chuck Bresnahan
joined the Bengal's in 2004 as an assistant coach and was then promoted
to the defensive coordinators positions on Jan. 19, 2005 and he has been
a N.F.L coach since 1994.
This
is Chuck Bresnahans playing and coaching history. Chuck played in 1979
to 1982 linebacker at the U.S. Naval Academy. In 1983 graduate assistant
coach, navy, in 1986 he became assistant coach, Navy. Finally Chuck
Bresnahan is still the Bengals defensive coordinator.
Chuck dose one of
the best jobs of calling the defense plays. But it all comes down to the
Cincinnati Bengal's head coach Marvin Lewis to make the call when the
defense is on the field.
In 2005 Cincinnati was the
NFL’s leader in takeaways, and won the AFC North championship with an
11-5 record under defensive coordinator Chuck Bresnahan. This is the
Cincinnati Bengal's defense.
