Made by a long  crack in the ocean floor, The Aloha State was created by volcanoes. The Hawaiian islands stretch about 1,600 kilometers from the most northern point to the most southern point. There are about 130 islands all together. The most populated of the many islands are Hawaii, Maui, O'ahu, Kuaui, and Molokai, in order of size. Hawaii became the 50th state on August 21st, 1959. Hawaii's capital, Honolulu is on the island of O'ahu.  It is the 47th smallest sized state in the United states. Hawaii is the largest island in the Hawaiian Island Chain. Hawaiian is made up of many ethnicities such as Japanese, Korean, Chinese, French, Spanish and Portuguese. Hawaii is the only coffee-producing state in the union. Other crops of the islands are vegetables, melons, taro, livestock, poultry, eggs and macadamia nuts.
