  Hank Aaron one of if not the best hitter to ever play the game of baseball. He's second on the all-time list with 755 career homeruns. He also is first with over 2,000 RBI's. Hank Aaron was a career .305 hitter. He was inducted into the hall of fame in 1982.

 

  Tony Gwynn played all his 19 seasons with the San Diego Padres. In those seasons he hit over .300 12 times. He has over 3,000 career hits, and is also a career .330 hitter. He was recently inducted into the hall of fame in 2007.

 

  Pete Rose played 24 seasons in the majors. He is baseball's career leader in hits ,over 4,000. He is also a career .303 hitter. He was forever banned from baseball in 1986 for gambling on the game.

 

 

Roberto Clemente will always be remembered by his salute to the crowd when he got his 3,000 hit in 1972  He 18 seasons in the majors, but it was cut short when his plane crashed on his way to Niagara delivering food to the earthquake ravaged country. He died with exactly 3,000 hits. In 1973 he was inducted into the hall of fame

 

 

  Cal Ripken played all 20 seasons in the major with the Baltimore Orioles. He owns the major league record for most consecutive games played with over 6,000. he also has over 3,000 career hits. He was recently inducted into the hall of fame in 2007.

 

 

Roger Clemens has played over 20 seasons in the majors with various teams. He hold the major league record with 20 strikeouts in a game. He has an MLB record with 7 Cy Young awards. He also has over 350 career wins, and over 4,000 career strikeouts.

 

 

 

Barry Bonds has played over 20 seasons with the Pirates and Giants. He has an MLB record with 762 homeruns,7 MVP's, and in 2001 he hit an MLB record 73 homeruns in a season. He has been haunted with steroid allegations for years which has tainted all his achievements in his career.

 

 

 

Babe Ruth has to be called the best hitter of his era. He is third with 714 career homeruns. Babe Ruth in 1929 hit 61 homeruns in a season, at time an MLB record. The Babe played 22 seasons in the majors, and was inducted into the hall of fame in 1936.

 

 

  Honus Wagner played 21 seasons in the majors and 19 with the Pirates. Honus Wagner has a career .327 batting average and was inducted into the hall of fame in1936.

 

 

Ted Williams played 19 seasons in the majors all with the Boston Red Sox. He has been dubbed one of baseballs best hitters ever. He has a career .344 batting average. He was inducted into the hall of fame in 1966.

 

 

 

Willie Mays played 21 seasons in the majors all with the NY/SF Giants. Willie Mays is most remembered for his over the solder catch in 1956. He inducted into hall of fame in1979.   

 

 

 

Nolan Ryan is one if the best pitcher of all-time. He has a MLB record 7 no-hitters. Nolan Ryan has over 300 wins and over 5,000 strikeouts. He was inducted into the hall of fame in 1999.
