Penn State Football

Galen Hall graduated from Penn State in 1963.  This will be his third year at Penn State.  Before his job at Penn State, he coached one XFL team, one AFL team, two NFL Europe teams, and coached Florida University.

Last year Anthony Morelli set team records for passing attempts and completions in a season.  Morelli is a senior this year.  Backing up Morelli will be Daryll Clark and Pat Devlin.

Austin Scott is a 6’0’’, 220 lbs. senior.  As a freshman, Austin challenged Tony Hunt, who is now playing for the Philadelphia Eagles, for the starting job at running back.  Austin started as a freshman, but then was back up his sophomore year and was red shirted his junior year.  He now splits time with Rodney Kinlaw.

Rodney Kinlaw is a senior like Austin Scott.  Both of them are challenging each other for the starting job.  Even though Scott and him were backing up Hunt last year, Kinlaw averaged more than five yards per carry.

Derrick Williams had a sensational freshman year but a sophomore slump. Derrick and Deon Butler were Morelli’s favorite targets on the long ball.  Derrick is predicted to have great numbers this year.

Deon Butler is a 5’10’’, red shirted junior.  Last year, Deon had 48 receptions and 13.3 yards per catch, the most on the team in both categories.  He could be the second Lion to lead the team in receiving for three consecutive years, next to Bobby Engram.
