Star Wars

Anakin Skywalker, the main character in the Star Wars films, goes from slave to Jedi Knight and eventually becomes the feared Sith Lord called Darth Vader. Anakin is trained as a Jedi by Obi-Wan Kenobi, and is tricked into becoming evil by the insidious Emperor Palpatine. Anakin is married to Queen/Senator Padme Amidala, and has two children, Luke and Leia. He is later returned to the side of good by his son Luke.
Luke Skywalker is Anakin’s son, and he is also trained as a Jedi Knight. Luke’s adventure begins when he leaves home to rescue his sister, Princess Leia Organa. Accompanied by Obi-Wan Kenobi, Han Solo, Cewbacca the Wookiee, and the droids R2-D2 and C-3PO, Luke succeeds in rescuing Leia. He then returns his father to the side of good, and lives happily ever after from then on (or so the story goes…).
Leia Organa is the adopted daughter of senator Bail Organa as well as Luke’s twin sister. Captured by Darth Vader, she is rescued by Luke and company, as she is a vital helper to the side of good. She is a senator, not a Jedi, so it is doubtful we’ll see any lightsaber-wielding  from her any time soon.
Padme Amidala is the queen and senator for the small, watery world of Naboo. She is also Anakin Skywalker’s wife, as well as the mother of Luke and Leia. Other than that, very little else is known about her.
Obi-Wan Kenobi is Anakin’s friend and mentor, and they have become almost like brothers over the years. Both have saved each other’s lives more than they can count, and they also have become very good at annoying each other. Obi-Wan later gives Luke his father’s lightsaber and begins his Jedi training.
Yoda is a Jedi Master, and he completes Luke’s training after Obi-Wan’s death. He dies of natural causes at the age of 900.
