  Racing quads are 8usually very fast due to engine size.  A racing quad is mostly used for racing.  Racing quads are very powerful for all the torque that goes to the back wheels.  Most racing quads have two-stroke engines, which is a gas and oil mixture.  Racing quads are very light weight and can jump very far

 
    There are many different brands of racing quads depending experience of rider.  The picture shows a good example of a racing quad, a Suzuki R450.  This quad is used by a lot of racing teams because of its great starts at the beginning of a race. Also know as hole shots.  It has excellent handling for sharp turns.  the Suzuki is a powerful quad due to its engine size.    
  This is a picture of the Honda 400ex.  The 400ex is a good for racing along with some trail riding.  It is one of the best quads available due to it's small size for trail riding and racing.  Many racing professionals use this quad because of its speed and good handling, during a race.  Being able to ride on trails or the track,the quad will get you mostly anywhere.   
    This is a picture of the KFX700.  What makes this quad special are the good shocks for the great handling.  The powerful engine  which is a 700cc makes it very fast.  the overall built is great for hole shots.  There are many different modifications that are available for this quad to make it even faster, such as piston kits, custom exhaust, and handle bars. 
  This is a picture of the new Raptor YZR1000.  This quad has a Yamaha R1 street bike motor in it , which makes it super fast.  This enables the quad to exceed speeds over 110mph, which makes it a great racing quad.  The design of the  plastic fenders make the quad look fast sitting still.  This quad is four experienced riders due to it capability of high speeds.   
    This is the rear view of the Polaris Outlaw 500.  This  quad is used mostly for trail riding because of it's excellent ground clearance.  The shocks which are independent rear suspension makes it easier to get over rough terrain.  The adjustable shocks make the ride easier on your body.  If you do a lot of trail riding, the overall design is a good quad for a rider.
  This is a picture of a Honda TRX 90.  This is a good beginners quad because of the adjustable throttle.  The throttle can  be changed  to the riders needs.  The throttle can be adjusted as the rider becomes more experienced and comfortable.  this quad is mechanically dependable so it runs great in all seasons.   
    A picture of a Yamaha Blaster shows how it is a great quad.  It is one of the top brand name Yamahas.  The 200cc two-stroke engine enables it to be very fast.  Affordability on purchase price along with very low maintenance makes it a great quad.  There are many modifications such as pipes piston kits, and handle bars that add to the performance. 
  A Yamaha 450Warrior shows ability to handle many extreme conditions of trails.  As you can see, the quad travels thru the mud with no problem because of it's low end power.  The torque offers the quad rider the power to ride extreme conditions that you may encounter on the trail.  The ability to ride over rocks, thru mud and snow make it  popular trail riding quad.     
    Polaris Predator  500 is a great all around quad.  It's superior handling is excellent for trails along with the quad being light weight and easy to maneuver.  The rider feels comfortable on trails.  The engine is very dependable and  powerful for its size.
  A picture of the Honda LRD 450Ris custom built for riding dune and desert.  This is not a trail quad but one to enjoy unique conditions.  a four stroke engine means it is very dependable.  The low mainanence of the engine along with not having to mix gas and oil
