Panthers head coach Jamie Dixon has 3 years with Pittsburgh and is 3-3 with the NCAA tournament. His record with the blue and gold is 76-22. Pitt ranked number 1 in the big east and 5th nationally, stepping on other teams working there way to number 1. Dixon says he got a lot of talent and much more to come in the next years here with the panthers. Their talent could hurt most teams in their league.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hoyas lead By John Thompson the III these past 2 years, have been phenomenal. Georgetown NCAA tournament record of 2-3, Ranked 2nd in the Big East and 8th national. Thompson record overall with g-town is 110-65. Last Years Georgetown upsetting Ohio States advanced to the sweet 16 with high hopes. Pressure was on and they got beaten. Coach says” We’ll get them this year for sure!”

 

 

 

Marquette Golden Eagles coached by Tom Crean, is ranked 18th in the country and 3rd in the Big East. Seven years down with the eagles taking them to NCAA tournaments with a finishing record of 4-3. 141 wins and have just 76 loses. Coach’s hopes are high and he says 06-07 seasons will be a good turn out.

 

 

 

 

The big orange and blue have an NCAA tournament record of 40-24 with Jim Boeheim. Making a mark with one NCAA title in 2003! 726 wins and only 253 losses so far for Syracuse. With the loss of Gerry McNamara also known as G'Mac makes the orange underdogs. But coach B has no fears!

Uconn Huskies head coach Jim Calhon has been with them for 20 years, having 2 NCAA tournament titles in 1999 and 2004 and with a record of 39-16. Overall 485 wins 177 loses. Among the nine new comers and only three returning players who played significant minutes last season, the team must find a go to guy on the floor and a good team leader. But, with coach’s talent they will be back on top in no time.

 

 

 Villanova Wildcats ranked 6th in the Big East is coached by Jay Wright, for the past five years. Coach Wright has 104 wins and 59 losses. In the NCAA tournament they are 5-4. 2005-2006 season their overall was 28-5, but section 14-2, and lost to Florida in NCAA Minneapolis Region Final. This tear they hope to go beyond expected.
