The Port Orleans Resort-French Quarter takes number ten. In Port Orleans Square there are rows of ornate houses. There is a scenic waterway which leads you to Port Orleans Resort – Riverside and Downtown Disney. The Doubloon Lagoon features Mardi Gras characters. In the pool there is a sea serpent waterslide in a bright fashion of green and purple.

Walt Disney World

Number nine. Disney’s Contemporary Resort. It was the first Walt Disney World Resort ever and it is still an all time favorite. It has an A-Frame design, and running through the A-Frame is the monorail that leads to Magic Kingdom Theme Park. The hotel offers 1,041 rooms and suites, three fine restaurants, and an expansive convention center. This resort also offers a beach right outside.

  8
Disney’s Old Key West Resort comes out as number eight. It captures the spirit of the Florida Keys perfectly. It features a waterfront boardwalk and a village. The village is very colorful with tin roofs and clapboard siding.

  7

At number seven is Disney’s Boardwalk Inn and Villas Resort. It has saltwater taffy colored beach towns. It was designed to evoke a seaside village that grew and changed over the years. The pool was inspired by the popular Luna Parks.

  6

Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts takes number six.  At night, when it is all lit up it is amazing. It features two looks, the sand-colored clapboard buildings in The Yacht Club Resort and the pastel blue of The Beach Club Resort. The three-acre features a life size shipwreck which children can play on.

  5

Number five is The Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. The theme is when northerners went to beach resorts in the older days. It is completed by palms, southern magnolias, and rich colored gardens that surround nine hundred rooms, five restaurants, a spa, and a health club.

  4

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge takes number four. It is surrounded by thirty-three acres of re-created savanna land. There are balconied rooms and three observation windows on the fourth floor. I can guarantee you will see an amazing view of over one hundred birds and animals. Thatched roofs, rich and colorful artifacts, and vibrant artwork evoke African game lodges of years past, allowing guests to go on a safari without leaving the comfort of their rooms.

Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort comes in as number three. It is set in its own lagoon, Lago Dorado. There is a dig site area, with a 50 foot high Mayan pyramid with a water slide that spills into the pool. There are 1,967 rooms and suites there. They are split up into three Spanish villages, Casitas, Ranchos, and cabanas, and they each have its own pool.

  4

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is number two. The 2,112 rooms and suites are split up into five Caribbean islands – Martinique, Trinidad, Aruba, Barbados, and Jamaica. They all stretch around Barefoot Bay. There are pools at each island, and a really, really big pool with a food court in between it all. At the big pool in the center, there are a couple waterslides and a waterfall as well.

Number one is Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. Its architecture is extremely beautiful. The great lodges of the national parks inspired Disney Imaginers to build this resort. In my opinion, it is one of the prettiest resorts Disney has to offer.
