     A Cymric is the first of the long haired cats that will be covered. It is an interesting cat because a pure Cymric has no tail. They are the long-haired version if a Manx. Cymrics are usually muscular with a medium-size body, but have a stout appearance. Their color can range from a pure white to a brown of a mixture of different shades.

 

    The Cymric cats are thought to be man-made due to breeding. This is only a theory and not a proven fact. The Cymric is a Welsh term that means Whales because that us where they were first found. There are many theories of how the Cymric became tailless but it was most likely a genetic mutation carried from one generation to the next. Their personalities are unique and are quite intelligent. They make wonderful pets.
      York Chocolates got their name because of their unique chocolate, brown color. They can range from a light milk chocolate brown to a deep, dark, brown. These long haired cats are sturdy, muscular cats. They are usually a medium to large cat and have large, round paws. They have moderately round heads and have either green, gold, or hazel eyes. Their faces slightly resemble Siamese cats because they have similar genetics.

 

    These York Chocolate cats are some of the most sociable breeds. They love to greet people at the door and are very affectionate. They are rarely afraid of humans but are still quite intelligent. They can lean almost anything and are good show cats. These lovable lap cats are great for anyone that has plenty of time to spend with their beloved cat.

 

    Birman cats have been in Asian countries such has India and China for centuries. Temples once built to honor these sacred cats still are standing today. These, like York Chocolates also have genetic make-up similar to Siamese cats. The resemblance between these tow are much more obvious. They have the same sapphire blue eyes and their coats are usually anywhere from white to brown color.

 

    Birman Cats have not only been worshiped at one point in history but have many famous legends about them. They were believed to be reincarnations of goddesses and priests. Now that they have come to North America they have become some of the most poplar cats today. These cats are curious and love adventure. The lovable Birman cats are a great addition to any cat lovers home.

 

    Siberian cats got their names from the country of Siberia. They have thick, shiny fur coats. Siberian cats are similar to the Maine Coon but are more round. They have beautiful eyes that range in colors. These large cats attract many people.

 

    Siberian cats were brought here by Russian immigrants. They developed a long coat because of the cold wintry weather in Siberia and Russia. They also learned to act as guard dogs and could be quite furious. Even though they could be aggressive they were usually mild mannered, friendly cats. They are often in shows because of their beauty and elegance.
