Stretching before doing ballet is one of
the most important things to do. To be able to do ballet, you have to be
very flexible. If you are not flexible, you will not get very far in
ballet. If you are not stretched out before practicing, you could
possibly end up or result in an injury.

Ballet shoes are the only types of
dancing shoes that work when you are doing and dancing ballet. This is
because the hard padding on the tip of the toes allows dancers to go up
on their toes. Also, if you have balance, it helps you stay up for a
longer period of time. The straps going up the show and the ankles of
the dancers, give the shoe a more feminine look, but yet help the shoes
to stay on and snug. For guy dancers, there no straps going up the leg,
but the shoe color for guys is black. Also, when you point your toes, it
gives the feet a sharper look. The material used in ballet shoes, is a
light weight material in order for the dancer to be able to jump and
slide around better without having a hard time trying to dance in bulky
shoes.

When you dance ballet, you can dance
in pairs. Dancing in pairs in ballet gives you the ability to do more
interesting steps and jumps. Dancing with a partner normally means you
are doing a dance of love and affection or you are doing a dance,
somewhat like one of the dances in The Mulian Rouge, which shows a sign
of hatred. Also, when you dance in partners, you have to learn to trust
one another and like each other in order to be able to do an excellent
dancer performance or routine.

In ballet, costumes play a big role.
These costumes are fluffier, classier and show more skin that a jazz
dance costume would. These costumes help show the ballet dancers
emotions that go along with the dance, better. Along with the costumes,
dancers are permitted to wear a head dress, and tights.
