      Soccer is a game of skills and techniques. It is a fun game that can be played almost anywhere with anyone, at anytime. It has many rules and fowls, but once you get the basics down it becomes easy. It can be played on many different surfaces, such as grass, dirt, turf, indoors r outdoors. Soccer is a very upbeat game that does require some endurance and quickness.

  The concept of soccer is to get the ball in your opponents goal and to defend your goal from being shot at. Getting the ball in the other team’s goal can be a bit of a challenge though. The game starts at center line with a kick off by the home team, from there, you must keep the ball in your possession, if you’re the home team, or get the ball in your possession. Once you have the ball you must race through an  obstacle of other players
 

dodging at you trying to get the ball. Since soccer is a team sport you are able to pass the ball to your teammates which makes it easier to get the ball to the opponents goal. Once you get a chance to shoot, shoot, if you make it in your team is awarded one point. At the end of the match, the team with the most points win.

 

     
 
  There are many different positions on the field, such as goalie defense, mid field, and offense. The goalie’s job is to block the goal from any balls going in. The goalie is also the only player aloud to touch the ball with there hands. The defense is the next line of defense the help the too. There are three defenders, a left and and right outside with a sweeper in between them. Then is the mid field, there is a left right and center mid
 

fielder. There jobs are to help the defense defend and help the offense score. Last are the offense, and there are also three of them, a left, center and right striker. Players who play on offense are also called strikers because it is there job to shoot or strike the ball into the opponents net.

 

  In order to play soccer correctly you need to know the rules. In soccer you are strictly not aloud to use your hands, the only player who can is the goalie. If the ball is to go out of bounce the team who did not kick it out gets to throw it in if it is on the sidelines. If it goes out of bounce on the goal line it is either a goal kick or a corner kick. There is also There are penalties for breaking the rules. One penalty is a foul and that is when you trip, kick, or push another player while fitting for the ball, and the ref will award the other team with a free kick. If you kick, spit, trip, push, hit, or kick another player while not fighting for the ball or doing it real aggressively you may be given a card. There are two
 

no off sides which is when a player is behind the last defender of the opposite team on that teams side and they get the ball passed to them. There is no intentional kicking, pushing or hitting. There is also no spitting at opponents or referees, or bad language.
