Will Ferrell was born on July 16th, 1967. He was the oldest of two. His parents got a divorce in 1975. He and his brother had to split their time between both of the parents. Will was always more of a jock than a class clown. He played soccer, football, and basketball. All he did was goof off with his friends and practice sports. Only gradually did Will become interested in becoming a comedian.

During college Will constantly played jokes on his friends and other students. Also his friends joined in with his jokes and they where the kind of jokes such as streaking through the college campus. Even though he didn’t want to become a comedian he still tried to perform. Since he couldn’t keep his grades higher than a C average and he joined a work-study job in Humanities Audiovisual Department. Will graduated college in 1990 and he majored in sports information.

Will was an intern at a local news station. After awhile he started to dislike the job. So he decided to quite the job and move back into his mother’s house. Then he got a job parking cars for a hotel. Then he decided to try to do stand up comedy. He didn’t really like to do stand up comedy since he would always forget the jokes and he didn’t like trying to be funny under pressure. So his mother suggested to take theater classes to get a better idea of where his interests might lie.

| Since he didn’t like to do comedy on his own he decided to do comedy in a group. After he got his comedy major he tried out for many auditions. His auditions got him into television sitcoms such as “Grace Under Fire” and “Living Single”. In 1995 he joined the cast of “Saturday Night Live”. He also created different characters for “Saturday Night Live”. |

In 2001 he appeared in the movies “Zoolander” and “Jay and silent Bob strikes back”. In 2003 he also appeared in the hit film “Old School”. Also in 2003 he stared in the hit movie “Elf”. In 2004 he co-wrote and stared in the movie “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy”. In 2005 he stared in “Kicking and Screaming” and “Bewitched”. He also provided the voice of the man in the yellow hat in “Curious George”. Will Ferrell had his thoughts in a different direction for a while, but found his way to becoming a comedian.
