The movie Titanic was filmed in 1997. It won 11 academy awards. It won best picture, best director, best original dramatic score, best costume design, best art direction, best sound, best cinematography, best visual editing, and best film editing.

Leonardo DiCaprio stars as the exploring Jack Dawson. Jack is a poor artist who won his Titanic ticket by winning a game of poker. Jack wins Rose’s heart aboard the Titanic and they fall in love. Kate Winslet stars as Rose DeWitt. Kate was and Oscar nominee for her role as Rose. Rose Is a first class girl who is bound for America so she can marry her wealthy fiancé.

The movie starts off with Brock Lovett, an explorer, searching for a very rare diamond that supposedly sank with Titanic. Brock finds a safe that the diamond was said to be in, but only a drawling with a young lady wearing the diamond was in it. An elderly woman named Rose Dawson Calvert clamed to be the young girl in the picture. Rose talked with Mr. Lovett about her adventure aboard the Titanic.

Rose continues to tell her love and adventure story. She tells of her fiancé Caledon Hockley buying her the diamond. Then she tells of how he gave it to her. All the while this is happening Jack is on deck drawing pictures of passengers. Rose and Jack meet on the bow of the Titanic. Jack saves Roses life and because of his good deeds he is invited to join the first class for dinner. At the end of dinner Jack invites Rose to join him at a party for the first class. They dance and have a great time together.

Rose ends up spending the entire boat ride sneaking around trying to see Jack. When Jack is walking Rose back to her room they run into Caledon’s helper. His helper slips the diamond into Jack’s jacket (which he stole). Caledon tells Rose that he thinks the diamond was stolen and he has the boat security guard search Jack. They find the diamond in his pocket and arrest him. While this is happening the boat is starting to sink and they are starting to board the lifeboats.

Rose heads to a lifeboat and boards. Then she starts thinking about Jack and jumps out the boat and lands on a deck. Rose runs to find Jack and finds him handcuffed to a metal post. Rose searches for a key but has no luck. Rose then starts running around trying to find someone to help but everyone has left to board a lifeboat. The floor which Rose is on is starting to fill up with water and she still hasn’t found help. Rose then finds and axe and goes back to Jack and cuts the handcuffs in half. Rose and Jack run to get upstairs but has no luck getting out. All the gates are closed because they are on the 3^rd class floor and the 3^rd class boards last. Then Jack and another passenger take a bench and run into the gate and breaks it down. They all run to the deck and try to board a ship. By now all the lifeboats are gone and Titanic is sinking even more.

It is much later now and all they can do is wait. The ship has broken in half by now and is about to sink completely. I would love to tell you the ending but that would just give it away. So you MUST see this movie!!!!
