Of all the dog breeds that have resulted from one common ancestor, the pre-historic “Tomarctus”, stands alone as having served man the most in a number of capacities: the Eskimo or sled dog. The Eskimo dog appeared scattered in many places throughout its history in Siberia, Canada, Alaska, Greenland, Labrador, and Baffin Island. There have been sayings that state that at some time in the past wolves were used in crossbreeding to the Eskimos’ dogs. The Siberian Husky was depended on by Eskimo tribes. They were used for pulling heavy sledges over great distances helping to secure pastime by assisting the hunt, and carrying heavy loads as pack dogs.

Some veterinarians have said that a puppy could learn to urinate and defecate on command, if properly trained. You should use a phrase or word that your dog can respond to eliminate what is in its bladder. You should make the word short so it will imprint in the dog’s memory. For indoor training, use sheets of newspaper to cover the specific area where your dog should relieve himself. Some puppies learn to relieve themselves out doors right from the start; others will begin with paper training. Training should being as soon as the puppy enters the house. You will need a lot of patience for the dog to learn everything. It does not just happen overnight. When the dog has done something wrong, make sure you set down the ground rules. Do not use physical abuse for punishment. Make sure you stay serious so the dog knows that it has done a wrong deed. If there is a barking problem, try the water bucket method.  This is when you leave a bucket of water, use platform to hold it, then through a system of ropes, pull the ropes and dump the water onto the dog. After a period of time, the dog’s barking behavior will be eliminated. These are the main training techniques.

Dogs will need to be feed daily. There are dry and wet foods. Always keep a bowl of fresh water by the bowl, for the dog.  Dogs love canned food. There are many places that sell dog food. Grocery and pet stores are the main places. Keep you dog on a nutritional balance and keep a variety of food types. These are the food qualifications.  

There are many things that a dog will need. All of the supplies are located in pet stores. Some of the supplies are toys, a kettle, a bed, a food and water bowl, a collar, and a leash. Some other materials are a brush, a toothbrush and a pooper scooper. There are also more things, but these are the basics.

Dogs can be called as the owners “children”. They need a ton of care. Dogs will need to be fed everyday. They need a ton of attention too. Make sure you walk your dog for exercise daily. Dogs will need to be seen by a vet, about every month. You will need to wash, and brush your dog. You will also need to clean his teeth, ears, and clip his nails. There are places that you can take your dog to get groomed. These are the main grooming qualifications.
