Iron and fur armor are the worst armor in the game. Your character gets this type of armor when you first start the game. Iron is the weakest heavy armor, while fur is the weakest light armor. Heavy armor provides you more defense, but light armor allows you to run faster. Full leather provides 20 points of defense, and full Iron offers 48 points of defense.

Steel and Leather armor are available at level 3. Steel is the heavy armor, and leather is the light armor. Steel and Leather are pretty good for a beginning character. They might seem a bit pricey, but it is worth it. Leather armor offers 28 points of defense, and Steel offers 48 points of defense.

Dwarven and Chainmail are available at level 6. Dwarven is the heavy armor, and Chainmail is the light armor. Dwarven is not that big of a step up from Steel, but it does provide more protection. Chainmail offers 31 points of defense, and Dwarven offers 51 points of defense.

Ebony and Elven are the second best types of armor in the game. Ebony and Elven are available at level 16. Ebon is the heavy armor, and Elven is the light armor. Ebony is a great leap from Dwarven, and Elven is a great leap from chainmail. Elven offers 40 points of defense, while Ebony offers 61 points of defense.

Daedric and Glass armor are the best in the game. Daedric and Glass armor are available at level 20. Daedric is the heavy armor, and Glass is the light armor. Daedric is the coolest looking armor because it looks demonic. Glass armor offers 51 points of defense, and the best armor in the game, Daedric, offers
