Johnny C (Nny)

            Johnny C is the main character of JCV’s popular comic Johnny the Homicidal Maniac. He has blackish-bluish hair and buggy eyes. Like, seriously. Everyone in the JTHM world has really buggy eyes. It’s kinda creepy. But anyways, Nny is thin to the point of being emaciated. His hobbies include killing and torturing the people who deserve it, watching any kind of movie, Drawing Happy Noodle Boy, and watching people get abducted by aliens. He is angsty, horribly insane, and has a tendency to flip out on anyone who even mildly annoys him. That usually ends badly.  Johnny is pretty much being controlled by two Styrofoam doughboys. And a dead rabbit. And some kind of monster behind of a wall. Well, he’s also what’s called a flusher, but that’s really complicated so we won’t get into that. To tell the truth, Jhonen has stated that he also had no idea what was going on with the doughboys and the wall monster. Sometimes, Jhonen just doesn’t know what the heck he’s drawing or writing.

The Voices (pretty creepy huh?)

            These next few dudes are the voices that Nny hears. Originally, the voices were just…well…voices that Nny had ‘assigned’ to various objects. But the Doughboys have somehow become their own beings and they can now walk around and do things on their own. They’re kind of like imaginary friends gone wrong.

Mr. Eff

            Mr. Eff is one of the doughboys that command Nny around. That’s right. This horribly evil guy is just a Styrofoam doughboy with a creepy paint job. Eff enjoys total and absolutely insane violence and killing. That’s why he tells Johnny to kill others. Eff wants to be able to do whatever he wants. He wants to be able to walk around on his own, make toast on his own and basically be real. Reminds you of a certain wooden boy eh?

Psychodoughboy

            More commonly called D-boy or Psycho, this character is also, you guessed it, an evil Pillsbury dough boy. He, like Eff, has a creepy paint job. But unlike Mr. Eff, Psycho doesn’t want to be real. He just wants to stop existing altogether. So, logically, he wants Nny to kill himself. Because, if Nny kills himself, then D-boy dies and….oh I don’t know. It’s all very confusing.

NailBunny

            NailBunny is the ghost of a rabbit that was once alive. Duh. He is the last of the voices and the closest thing that Johnny has to a conscience. Nailbunny hates it when Johnny hurts people and he constantly tells him to stop. Bunny insists that Nny can get help and that he is not insane. Hmm…not much to say about him really.  Yeah…um….who wants a cookie?

Devi D

            Love is in the air!!....Or not. Devi is living proof that love hurts. Wow, that sounded really lame. Anyways, Devi was just a normal girl working at a bookstore when suddenly, she met Johnny C. Well, after about three months of knowing him, she realized that she was actually in love with him and they went out on a date. They saw a movie and went to Nnys house. Everything was going great. That is, until Johnny pulled out two knives and attempted to “Immortalize the Moment”. Well, apparently, Devi didn’t exactly want to die. So, she beat the living crap outta him. After that, Devi ran home and locked all her doors and windows. She doesn’t get out much anymore.

Jimmy

            Is a moron. Yes, the term “total Loser” might apply to Jimmy. Or as he calls himself “Mmy” or “Darkness”. Anyways, Jimmy started stalking Johnny one day when he saw him blow up a Taco Bell. Well, it turned out that Nny wasn’t very easy to track down. But Jimmy was persistent and he followed him for weeks until he finally found out where he lived. Jimmy explained to Johnny that he practically worshipped him and that he wanted to be taught in the ways of a great homicidal maniac. Johnny asks Jimmy to leave since he finds his company to be ‘most repellant’. Jimmy insists that he has to explain everything that he’s about to Nny and that he won’t leave until he’s finished.  Well, that wasn’t a very good idea. Johnny ended up killing Jimmy. But that’s okay since Jimmy was a loser anyway. No, seriously. Jimmy was a total loser.

Squee!!! (Todd)

            Squee is an unfortunate little boy indeed. He lives next door to Johnny! And if that’s not enough to scar a kid for life, why don’t you add in a pyromaniac teddy bear, giant dust mites, abusive parental units, aliens abducting him constantly, a friend who happens to be the anti-Christ, bullies at school, and horrifying nightmares every night. Yup, that’s what Squee has to deal with everyday. Although his real name isn’t actually squee, it’s Todd. But since he makes a ‘squee’ noise when he’s scared (which is very often) he is called squee by everyone. Squee is described to be “squee sized” and the weight of less than a hamburger. Cute huh? Squees only real friend is his teddy bear, Shmee. However,  Shmee is a pyromaniac and he constantly tells him to hurt other people or set things on fire. Poor little Squee has gone through so much in the eight years that he’s been alive. And the horror is probably not going to stop anytime soon.

                                 This reminds me of myself.

Happy Noodle Boy

            Jhonen draws Johnny. Johnny draws Happy Noodle Boy. Happy Noodle boy draws crowds. Yeah. Happy Noodle Boy is Johnny’s own little doodle of a character. Happy Noodle Boy is basically just a crazy stick figure who shouts VERY random things at people. Yup, that’s the only thing that Happy Noodle Boy actually does. He just stands on a soap bow all day and shouts at people. At the end of just about every Happy Noodle Boy comic, he ends up getting shot by somebody. The main thing to know about Happy Noodle Boy is that he doesn’t make ANY sense. Seriously. He can go from shouting about David Hasseholf to Shouting about peas. In short, He's awesome.

DillonTess

Tess, Dillon, and Krik.

            These characters are minor, but important. Tess is a teenage girl who makes friends with absolutely the worst people. She likes lizards, Romance movies, and how she looks in glasses. She is probably the most decent, upstanding, and polite character in all of JTHM. However, the same cannot be said for her friend, Dillon.  Dillon is basically a jerk who has no respect for other people. But, he’s popular since he’s in a band. Eventually Tess and Dillon end up in strapped to electric chairs in Nnys basement and shocked continuously. Well, Dillon is at least. Tess was rescued by a man named Krik shortly after Nny got shot. Dillon was not lucky enough to get saved. He got his head ripped off by a horrible monster. So, Tess and Kirk are trying to escape Nnys enormous basement and get away from the monster that ate Dillons head at the same time. Well, only Tess escaped. Krik had also fallen victim to the monster. Well, actually I guess none of them escaped. You see, the universe had dissolved right after she got away. I would like to explain why that is, but not even Jhonen knows.
