Epcot, originally named EPCOT CENTER, was Walt Disney’s vision of the future and how it will change the life around us.  In Epcot you can travel from the United Kingdom to Japan in 5 minutes and then to Mars and back in time for lunch.

Future World East is all about Science and Technology and how it affects our everyday life.  Future World East’s paths or jagged and straight lines representing technology.  The first attraction is The Universe of Energy with Ellen.  You embark on an adventure through time with Bill Nye and Ellen to find out why it is important to know about energy.  The next attraction is Mission: Space.  You are recruited by the ISTC (International Space Training Center) to be the first people to land on Mars.  This attraction predicts what the Space program will be in 20 years.  This attraction will take you on a near lifelike Space Shuttle launch and landing.  The final attraction is Test Track, The fastest ride in Disney.  Test Track show you the different tests that cars go through to make sure they are safe and durable.  Each vehicle contains an onboard Audio/visual system including 3 computers combined to have more power than a space shuttle.

On the opposite side is Future World West.  Everything is calm and natural with smooth flowing sidewalks.  Future World West is all about natural life.  You can take a ride in the Living Seas to find Nemo or talk with Crush the Turtle.  You can walk over the land pavilion and take a hang glider over California on Soarin or take a ride through your imagination with Figment at the Imagination Pavilion.

Interventions Plaza is where everything meets.  You can taste different Coke products from around the world at Club Cool or see new and interesting technologies inside the Intervention building.  You can sit down and take a break and watch the music synchronized water fountain.  Don’t forget the main icon of Epcot, Spaceship Earth which teaches you about communication all through time.

World Showcase is where you can experience all of the different cultures from around the world.  Experience one of the many 360° degree theaters or take a boat ride through Norway on Mael Storm.  You can eat at one of the many restaurants.

Every night the largest firework display in all of the Disney parks takes place.  Illuminations: Reflections of Earth is a spectacular show all done inside of the World Showcase Lagoon.  The firework show contains lasers, fireworks, hundreds of gallons of propnein 12 large torches around the lagoon and barges in the lake, fountains and a huge barge containing a globe with a video screen which creates one fantastic show to finish your night at Epcot.
