This is a back handspring. Back handsprings are the most basic skill of going backwards. In order to perform a back handsprings, you must stand is somewhat of a stretched out standing position. Then push off your feet with as much power as you have then landing on your hands. Then flip your legs over your head and land in an upright position. |

This is an aerial. This is a very tough skill to accomplish. To be able to even try an aerial, you have to be able to do a cartwheel. First, you start out running, push off with your dominant leg. Then do a cartwheel motion but don’t put your hands on the ground. Swing your legs over your head as fast as you can and land with your feet together. |

The picture that you are looking at is a front tuck. For this skill you need to have a lot of leg strength. To start you stand with your feet together. Then you squat down. With all of your leg power you should jump straight up. While straight up in the air, tuck your legs to your chest and your head in. Basically you are throwing yourself forward. When coming down slowly let your legs and head out and land on both of your feet. |

This is a back tuck. A back tuck is just like a front tuck. You start out with your feet together. Squat down and jump back as hard as you can. Then while you’re jumping straight up, tuck your legs in and keep your head straight and upright. Throw your body back. When coming down from the tuck, slowly put your legs down. Land with both your feet together. |

This is a basic vault jump. This can be tricky for some people. First, you run as fast as you can. Then you bounce on this spring ramp thing. Then leaning forward you squeeze your body straight. Putting your hands on the vault and swinging your body over the vault. Then proceeding to land on your feet. |

Leap jumps can be done in may different ways. On the balance beam, on the floor and on the trampoline. To do a leap your first run and jump in the air. While you are in the air spread your legs apart. Just like you would do for a left or right split. Then, when you start coming down out your legs together and land. |
