Jhonen (pronounced Joe-Nen) C. Vasquez was born on September 1, 1974, in East San Jose, California. He attended Mt. Pleasant High school, where he created Nny. But more on him later. He has been known to go by the pseudonyms Mr. Scolex or Chancre Scolex. |

Jhonen is a cartoonist/writer, and has been writing since 1993.His very first character was Johnny C. [Nny]. Johnny first appeared in his high schools newspaper, as Johnny the Little Homicidal Maniac. This comic came to be the one Jhonen first got published, in Carpe Noctem Magazine, and one that fangirls have come to know and love, and Johnny the Homicidal Maniac. |
