This is a picture of Joe Thorton and Sidney Crosby.  They are in their All Star Game uniforms.  They both play the position of center.  They are both two of the best passers in the NHL..

This is Mark Recchi.  The Pittsburgh Penguins drafted him 1988.  His rookie season, which was played with Pittsburgh, he had 113 points and he led the team to a Stanley cup victory.  This year Recchi recorded his 500^th goal, and his 1300^th point.

Marian Hossa is one of the elite players in the NHL.  He has topped the 40 and 30 goal mark so far in his career.  He is on his way of doing that this year.

Evgeni Malkin is arguably the best rookie in the NHL. He is 6’3” and has 63 points in 55 games played this season.  Ryan Malone is the other player in this picture; he had 44 points in 77 games last season.  He is a tough player and is a big guy at 6’3”.

This is Alexander Ovechkin.  He is a Russian player.  Last year he won rookie of the year.  He had 106 points.  He also played on the Russian team for five years straight.

This picture is of Jordan Staal, Ryan Whitney, and Evgeni Malkin.  All of them play on the Pittsburgh Penguins.  It was taken before the Young Stars Game.

Sidney Crosby is one of the best players in the NHL.  He makes unbelievable passes and scores great goals.  This year he is leading the league in points.

Saku Koivu plays for the Montreal Canadiens.  He is number 11, and is the captain on his team.  He was born in Turku,and he plays in the world championships for Finland.

Alexander Ovechkin was the first pick in the 2004 NHL entry draft.  He led all rookies with 52 goals in his rookie season.  He was named the top forward in the 2005 Junior Championships.

Daniel Briere is the captain of the Buffalo Sabres, who are having a great season.  He was on the starting line in the All- Star Game, and he won the MVP.
