Jimi Hendrix, many would consider one of the greatest guitarist and lyricist of all time. Jimi grew up in Seattle Washington and Went to Garfield High school. When He finished school he aspired to be an amazing musician. Within a few years Jimi had been playing in local bands but decided that he couldn’t stand playing the side roles and then Jimi James and the Blue Blames was born, Hendrix’s first band. |

At first Jimi was shy about his voice and didn’t like it much but eventually his fear of singing would fade away. In July 1966 Jimi was introduced to animal’s bassist. |

The animals had been on a farewell tour and producer Chas chandler there producer had been looking for new acts to break. After hearing him at the Café What Chandler offered Hendrix a trip to London to meat musicians. |

In time The Jimi Hendrix Experience was formed of Jimi Hendrix on guitar, Noel Redding as bassist and Mitch Mitchell as there drummer. The Experience toured for the next few years and eventually took a break and Hendrix along with Buddy Miles and some other formed ‘Band of Gypsys”and made some amazing tracks.

When Woodstock came around Jimi was lucky enough to play and stunned the crowd with his incredible performance of the national anthem and also played “Fire” and a few other of his songs. |

Sadly, Jimi Hendrix died at age 27. Many stories circulate about his death and no one is certain. It doesn’t really matter how he died though. The fact is that he lived |
