Jim Morrison Is the other great rock Musician I am going to talk about. Jim Morrison was born in 1943. By age 12 Jim had a 9 year old sister and a 6 year old Brother | |
During his childhood moving from city to city every year or so was common since his dad was in the Navy. Research studies showed that on the move children start to build a sense of resiliency and his constant moving as a child may have attributed to his wildly rebellious behavior. |

Jim finished high school and soon left home for college to study film at UClA. He was accepted and it was there that he met Ray Manzerek (The Doors organist). At the time they had no intention of starting a band and Jim had never sung before. |
During a spring break Jim met a friend of Ray’s and decided that they would jam. After a few weeks of practicing “The Doors” had been formed.

When Jim had finished school, at least all that he wanted, “The Doors had started to look for gigs and eventually found one playing at a local club daily. Later they had been fired because the owner had not appreciated some of the words that came out of Jim’s mouth when he was singing.

Some of “The Doors” most famous songs are" break on through”, “people are strange” and “The End.”

Many of them are based on his readings of philosophy and his vivid imagination. Many of his songs are also based on poetry he had written while he was in high school.
Eventually The doors scored a record deal with Columbia Records and produced albums such as” The Doors” and” Morrison Hotel”.

Sadly Morrison died at age 27. It is a pity that both great rock musicians Died at the same age of 27 and never went further in there careers.
