Snowboarding can be used for freestyle and free ride. Freestyle is when you go to the board parks and do tricks like a 360 degree turn in mid-air or a grab. The other way to snowboard is free ride and you just ride down the hill or mountain not doing tricks or anything just going down the hill. There are a ton of companies that make boards like Burton, Fusion, and M3. They are all pretty good companies.
