Venice is a city in Italy that has water as roads.  People go around in boats to get around.  They also have taxi boats. There are many beautiful features in Venice. They have a building that looks like a castle.  It is called the Saint Marc’s Square.

Venice’s houses are built into the water.  They hang their laundry outside. Their food is not as good as Rome’s, but it is still pretty good.  Venice does not have as many famous emperors as Rome does.

Venice is very well known for its stones.  I actually have a bracelet made from there.  They do this by lighting up the rock then shaving some of it off.  Then, he paints the little bits of stone that he shaved off.  Then, he puts it on a strand to make a bracelet.

There is a map of Venice.  Unlike our maps, with all of the gray for roads, Venice has blue for all of its water.  Venice is a very big city.  There are a lot of islands that are in Venice.  There are one hundred and fourteen of them.

 Venice has a lot of cheeses for food.  They also have a lot of festivals.  They practically have every type of cheese.  There is also sausage.  Most of the sausage is held in village squares.
