Back in the old days if you skated vert you were known as the concrete wave skater. They called them that because surfers were the ones who started Vert skateboarding. Empty swimming pools were the best thing to skate. Vert skaters love to search for empty swimming pools in backyards so they can show off some sweet tricks. |

Even though vert skating is defferent than Street skating, the boards are the same. Vert skaters wear lots of protection. You can get seriously injured vert skating. They wear knee pads, elbow pads, shin guards, and helmets. All vert skaters should wear these things in order to be able to stay a healthy skater. Stretching is very important before both vert and street skating. If u were to ask all pro skaters what they do before a day of skating, they would say stretch. |
