Skateboarding became popular in the early 1960’s. The first skateboards were nothing like they are now. They used to take the wheels off of the roller skates and nail them to a piece of plywood. Now the boards are perfected and have grip tape which helps you have grip to the board, and trucks which connect to the bottom of the board. The wheels also connect to the board. There is something called hardware. It’s the screws, bolts, bushings, and risers. Skateboarding is a hard sport that gets frustrating and consists of balance and practice.
